Michael is a writer and recovering architect whose passions include independent travel, local food, and Mid-Century Modern architecture.  Through his essays, short stories and longer works, he explores the ways in which lives are changed by love, war and travel.

His work has been published in Progenitor and Left Hand of the Father, awarded a first place prizee by the Denver Women’s Press Club and and listed as a finalist in Florida Review’s 2013 writing competition.

Michael lives in a quiet little Mid-Century Modern house in Denver with Lynn Rider, a travel photographer and psychotherapist, Mr Notte, the not-so-big cat whose physical life has ended but whose spirit lives on, and Captain Blackie, Mr. Notte’s able successor.
